The GSD 20 is a remote, black-box sounder that transmits 500 watts at 50/200kHz. It’s designed for use with the GPSMAP® 2006/2006C, GPSMAP 2010/2010C, GPSMAP 182/182C and GPSMAP 232 to provide SONAR capabilities to these units. The sounder module sends data serially in a Garmin® proprietary format to up to two units on board. When viewed on Garmin chartplotters, you’ll see full-featured sounder displays in either split- or full-screen presentations. Features include auto-ranging, 2X and 4X auto and manual zoom, optional fish symbols and See-Thru® technology, which separates fish from thermoclines and structure.

Please Note: This product does not include a transducer. Garmin offers a complete selection of transducers to be purchased seperately as accessories.

For those mariners looking for large numbers and big maps, the GPSMAP 232 is packaged in a form factor similar to the popular GPSMAP 230/235. This new chartplotter installs easily in open cockpit and overhead boxes. A unique design feature of this new product line is quick map redraws using a high speed RISC processor. Detailed marine cartography is presented on a high resolution (240 x 360 pixels), 10-level grayscale, liquid crystal display.

With a built-in worldwide basemap, the GPSMAP 232 is fully compatible with Garmin's new BlueChart® marine cartography and many MapSource® CD-ROM products. Additional precise GPS positioning using correction data can be obtained from optional RTCM-104 differential receivers. GPSMAP 232 provides position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving diffrential.

Both units have a worldwide basemap with excellent coastline detail and accept up to two optional data cards with Garmin's exclusive BlueChart® cartography. The GPSMAP 2010 and 2010C are also compatible with many MapSource® CD-ROM products. Units are differential ready for 2 to 3 metre accuracy.  Optional differential receiver is extra.
